Thanks to the help of Team 1, we had a Saturday trip planned for us. We boarded a tour van first thing in the AM and were away til late in the evening.
Our final destination was Arsuz on the Mediterranean coast via Iskenderun. We had also hired a driver and tour guide who took very good care of us.
Our trip took us over a mountain pass. Our first stop was in Beyan to visit a local Mosque - we were fortunate to be able to go inside.

We took the "scenic route" and our driver took us to a few overlooks and also included a stop at a local fruit stand to sample some local products - all very good (and fresh, we could see the trees they came from nearby).

We then headed to a historical site north is Iskenderun. We had a look at a Mosque built in the 1500's, and just as incredible climbed over the ruins of a Roman castle built around 100 BC.
